My wife and i planned a trip to Costa Rica in October to visit our Daughter who is in School in San Jose.

We planned on Staying in San Jose City for a few days and at some point we would venture out on our own.

We planned on Staying in San Jose City for a few days and at some point we would venture out on our own.

We did a lot of research and chose Tommy G Hotel in Jaco Beach. It is close to every thing on the coast. We were totally amazed at the place. The place is totally spotless. The suites are cool and have large living areas with a kitchen and the beds are very comfortable.

The bathrooms are very nice and clean also.

Tommy G's has a great pool area and the grounds are beautiful.

We stayed at a few other places on our trip and nothing compared to the warmth and actual caring that we felt as guests at Tommy G's. Tom and Barb had wonderful recommendations for us and we were always amazed at how perfect our time in Jaco was.

I wish we could have stayed longer, I hope we can go back someday, I know exactly the kind of warm welcome we will get from Tom and Barb at Tommy G's Hotel.

My friend and I (2 females) stayed here for a few nights in the green season. We were previously staying at a nearby hotel but were unable to continue our stay there due to it being full over a public holiday. We were therefore fortunate to be recommended Tommy G's and what a bonus that was.

Tommy G's was by far nicer than our previous place. Newer and cleaner. We were made very welcome and felt very safe.

The hotel is on a side street which was quiet but no way intimidating - it was only a few steps from the main street. We weren't accosted by drunks, prostitues or similar.

Not sure what the one negative reviewer was inferring about the place. What was the bad experience?

We loved the room, pool and location. The only downside is that there is a new condominium block being built next door but we didn't notice it and most definitely no sound at night (from anything).

If we were fortunate to visit CR and Jaco we'd definitely stay here again.

My boyfriend Kyle and I stayed at Tommy G's for 8 nights and we had a blast!! Tom and Barb are wonderful hosts and they make you feel at home. You feel like you have your own clean apartment and even though it is in the heart of Jaco you feel secluded and safe. We will never forget our wonderful trip to Costa Rica and Tom and Barb made it that much better-even through a tropical storm!

An amazingly clean and friendly place in a good location. You are right off of the main street so you can walk to all the shops and restaurants and you are less than a block away from the ocean.

The owners really want you to be comfortable and they really work hard to do that. The place is quiet and safe and yet you are in the heart of the action. The rooms are spacious, clean, and casual. They are not fancy, but they have everything you need in a great environment.

We found this hotel by using trip advisor and we were thrilled with it.

You won't find nicer -more helpful - caring owners than these.

My sisters and I had no where to stay in Jaco and came across Tommy G's, Toms wife Barb showed us the hotel and we fell in love . The rooms have small kitchens and living areas separate from the bedroom which was awesome and very homey. The hospitality that Tom and Barb showed us was above and beyond ! You have to stay here, you won't regret it we promise !!

“Laid back and super clean”

We've been to Jaco Beach several times and our time at Tommy G's had to be the best. We've tried the Best Western and the Coppacaba

before.

Tommy's is on the river and about a half block to the Pacific beach.

This place is immaculate in every area from the front gate, to the pool, and the rooms are spacious and airy.

The combination digital safe in every room really took the worry out of what to do with money and passports while at the beach. The pool is literally room side for every room.

Tommy's is a locked gate secure area. You won't be bothered by

late night party animals or ladies of the night, and at the same time

Tom and Barb (the owners) make sure your privacy is maintained.

Just perfect is the word I would use to describe it. The location is

perfect, Tom and Barb are perfect hosts, and the rooms and pool are perfect.

Found out about them on www.explorecostarica.com. great info about hotels, restaurants, news, events and realestate. they have a great photo gallery you have to check out before going to costa rica.

the hotel is clean and in a great location. right in the middle of town so you can walk to everything. the owners are americans and keep the place really clean and manicured.

“Excellent”

Just got back from Costa Rica yesterday. During the tale end of our trip in Jaco we ended up at Tommy G's. We had never heard of it, but it came highly reccomended. I couldn't agree more.

We are in our late 20's and had partied pretty hard all week while staying at the other hotel. Tommy's was perfect end to the trip. That said, why would you want to party at the hotel anyway with the beach and the bars? It was the perfect place to come back to after a rowdy night. You could actually get a good sleep.

The rooms are very clean and big. The AC works like a charm and there is a huge frige to fill in with the 1 dollar Imperials. There is a pool in the back that is perfect to relax by, and there is a good chance you will see Tommy and his wife while you are down there.

The hotel is very safe (a great lock system), and also has a gaurd at night. It is in the middle of the strip, so you are close to the bars, restaurants and the beach. Very safe to go to and from at night.

I highly reccomend staying at this place, and will stay there again when I go back to Jaco.

“Great hotel for families in Jaco”

We found this hotel by looking on the internet for an aparthotel while travelling in Costa Rica. It's new, clean and has suite-type rooms which are great when traveling with kids. Run by Tommy and Barb, originally from Minnesota, who have moved to Costa Rica. Not too expensive (we paid $70 a night in green seaon). About a block to the beach. Nice people, very clean and safe. Close to shopping. We had the pool to ourselves many days. I highly recommend it.
