Luna Llena Hotel

Luna Llena, which translates as Full Moon, is a very unique hotel that is situated on the hillside just above the always lively town of Montezuma. Surrounded by jungle and wildlife, the hotel is only 200 meters from the beaches of Playa Montezuma, Costa Rica. Fall asleep to the sounds of the surf, and wake to monkeys and birds moving through the trees. Most rooms have an ocean views, and some look directly into the waves. There are beautiful gardens and pathways throughout the property.

Our rates are based on double occupancy, except #2 and #4 which are single rooms. Additional guests are $10 per night. Children under 10 are $5 per night. Children under 3 are free.

All guests have access to our 2 fully equipped kitchens, BBQ grill, and our chill out lounge area with book exchange library, games, stereo and satellite TV.

All rooms are equipped with safes and fans. We offer free coffee and a full service tours desk to assist you in booking your adventures.

All rooms, except #8, are with shared baths.

We have six showers and seven water closets to adequately service our guests.

Time slows down when you are in a place like Montezuma. Bordered by Waterfalls on the North and South you will find an international community that knows how to enjoy life. Numerous Unique Beaches are framed by Jungle covered cliffs, with a lively Beachside Village at the Center of it all. When you arrive in Montezuma you will find Excellent Restaurants, Eclectic Shops, and a variety of Nightlife awaiting your enjoyment.

When you are staying in Montezuma the choice of Activities and Adventures is vast.

Hiking to the Montezuma Waterfalls, Surfing Isolated Beaches, Canopy Tours, Boat Trips to Isla Tortuga, Day Hikes into Cabo Blanco National Reserve, Snorkeling and Diving the Area Reefs, ATV rentals, Horseback Riding, or Sunbathing and Swimming on the Numerous Unique Beaches. Our staff help with Information and Booking of most of the Activities.

            Luna Llena is located 10 minutes walk from the Montezuma Waterfall Trail. Some of the finest beaches for Surfing and Swimming are as close as a 4 minutes walk. Walk 30 minutes on the Beach Trail, past small waterfalls, to an isolated Beach Break with excellent waves for Surfing. There are Point Breaks and Reef Breaks within 3 miles. Cabo Blanco Reserve is only 5 miles South. The beaches of Mal Pais and Santa Teresa are an 8 mile drive or bike.

    If you are coming by Car, follow the signs from the Paquera Ferry to Cobano. Make a left turn at the Banco Nacional, in the center of town. Drive through the countryside for 6 kilometers. When you reach the bottom of the cliff into Montezuma, we are on the right.

    If you are coming by Bus, walk the 50 meters up the main road from the Montezuma bus stop. We are located on your left.
