El Paso de las Lapas is an outstanding eco-boutique hotel near Jaco, Costa Rica. Even though it is only five minutes away from downtown Jaco, it's out of all it's rush. This hotel is an ideal place if you want to rest in a fully equiped and luxury place, in touch with nature. From your room balcony you can enjoy the tropical forest that surrounds the hotel, a beautiful river, macaws and birds flying around. The swimming pool is beautiful, and the atmosphere of the place is unique. The rooms are more than you could expect. Luxury finished, wonderful decoration, lcd tv, air conditioning, how water. The hotel doesn't have restaurant, but rooms are equiped with a kitchen full of stuff, everything you would need to make your own food. Yet, you have a lot of good restaurants where you can go around Jaco. Its a wonderful place to stay if you look for a small, high quality (yet cost effective), quiet place surrounded by nature, very close to San Jose. I would recommend it for mature people looking for a quiet place to rest.

Is not for young people looking for party and a sleep-only place. I paid $450 for 4 nigths, which is fair and worth the quality of the place, but not suggested for a school ride. I stayed there with my girlfriend from friday to monday, and we had a good time. We bought some things at the Auto Mercado (3 minutes from there) to make our own breakfast and lunch and we went out to Jaco for dinner. Im looking forward to go again as soon as my job -and pocket- allow me.

El Paso de las Lapas

La pasé muy bien y recomiendo el hotel a cualquier persona que valore el descanzo en una habitación exquisítamente decorada y un lugar para llenarse de paz y tranquilidad. Tienen los jardines preciosos, la piscina es lindísima, y en todo momento se disfruta de un paisaje rodeado de naturaleza exhuberante. Está muy cerca de los mejores sitios y restaurantes de la zona de Jacó, de camino a playas preciosas y lo mejor de todo, a no más de dos horas de San José, lo cual para los que vivimos en San José es un gran atractivo. Tiene su propia cocina, refrigerador y los utensilios necesarios para no tener que salir del hotel si uno lo prefiere. El precio es accesible y realmente lo vale por la calidad del lugar. Me tocó ser atendida por los propios dueños, quienes personalmente se ocupan de cada detalle y realmente logran que la estadía sea agradable.
