Just got back from a week long stay in Jaco at Clarita's and can't wait to go back!

We booked our reservations from Clarita's website very last minute (2 or 3 days before arrival) and within a few hours I received a response back confirming our reservations.

Just got back from a week long stay in Jaco at Clarita's and can't wait to go back!

We booked our reservations from Clarita's website very last minute (2 or 3 days before arrival) and within a few hours I received a response back confirming our reservations.

Once we arrived we knew we made the right choice in hotels, upon check-in we each received a free beer. And the staff was very friendly from the get-go.

The rooms are small but very clean and the water in the shower was always hot (We had 3 people taking showers one after another)

Clarita's is one of very few beachfront hotels in Jaco and it's so nice to just get up leave the room, hit the hotel restaurant/bar grab an ice cold (and cheap) beer and hit the beach. We had such an awesome time at Clarita's we lost track of time. We thought we had another couple days on our date of checkout, so we stayed an extra night.

Can you find a cheaper hotel in Jaco? Probably. But right on the ocean, with security at night, very clean rooms, with an awesome restaurant and even better staff? I doubt it.

Claritas on the beach is a treat - rustic ( simple with style) -sits on the beach - one of the few in Jaco - Rooms are clean - cable, ac , hot shower is all i need - wake up and walk right to thre beach

the bar restaurant is a treat - easy going - cold beer and drinks - espn and good tunes -the chow is good - breakfast will rival american diner - waitress are nice - i like the simple when i on vacation and

this fits the bill - owner was on hand and hook us up with dos and donts - we had a few pops together

What a fun time at Clarita's Hotel on the beach in Jaco. Great people, Great Service, Great Food and of course there is Clarita. I will definately return to Claritas for another trip to Costa Rica. Very clean rooms and nice new tiled showers. The only thing you need bring is yourself and have fun and how can you not at Claritas!!

I just got back to Canada from Clarita's and want to commend them for their attentive consideration. The place has a great ambiance, right on the beach with the roar of the surf and the cool Pacific breezes a constant reminder of how lucky you are to be there.

I am a wheelchair traveller and the Two David's who run Clarita's were kind enough to take me in and make sure I had what was needed. The whole staff was equally kind, friendly and helpful.

The non-AC rooms, not surprisingly get very hot in the midday, and the sound insulation between rooms is not great, but otherwise there were no problems at all.

I'd go back in a heartbeat.

“A Beautiful Location for Adventerous Adults”

I recently visited Clarita’s 3/6-3/10 and I had a wonderful time. I would say that this property is well suited for adventurous couples, fishing parties, or bachelor parties that are just looking for a good base of operations while exploring the surrounding area. Clarita’s is not a destination by itself. There are no activities, water sports, pool, etc. What it is, is an extremely reasonable, clean, safe location on a beautiful stretch of beach in Jaco. The Bar itself is a great beach bar! If your idea of a good time is kicking back with drinks and a plate of killer chicken enchiladas right on the beach, this should be heaven for you.

I went with a group of 10 people for a bachelor party and this property was perfect. Cabs are generally $2 anywhere in Jaco, so… You can grab a few drinks at Calitas and then head out for the night. Clarita’s closes at 9PM, so… any impression that Clarita’s bar is a wild and crazy place after dark should be squashed! This does not mean that the hotel is a quiet place after dark, there are people coming back from the bars throughout the night. This is just the nature of the beast. This is an adults only location and for people that have the mindset that they are going to Jaco to get Waco! If this is your goal, Clarita’s is your place. They Cater to this!

Our rooms although basic, were completely cleaned every day. The maid service was impeccable. Security was tight and you feel very safe!

Over all I have absolutely nothing bad to say, I would just warn against families or couples looking for a resort destination.

After booking my stay online at Claritas website, I was quickly engaging with Clarita herself by e-mail with my accomodations. Once we arrived we were greeted with beautiful smiles, given a complimentary beer and seated only feet away from the beach.

You can take a taxi from there to downtown but everything is certainly within a 5-10minute walk. I felt the portions could have been larger food wise, but the price was fair. The rooms for the price were also fair and all the staff there was great, even the women who cleaned our room were great. At night around sunset the place fills up and is pretty fun place to start the night. Late night it is all closed down except for the security guards who are there through the night, which made everything feel even more safe.

Clarita's is a wonderful establishment that is right on the beach. Great food, ice cold beer, wonderful sunsets and better hospitality. You could spend a lot more and get a lot less. The rooms are basic but very clean, staff is helpful, generous and the ambiance is fantastic! You would be hard pressed to find a better bang for the buck. I'm looking forward to going back very soon.

Los Suenos' hell-raising, cigar-smoking, tattooed and pierced little sister. Loved everything about it, but especially the service level, the bartenders, cleanliness of the room and property, safety, Clarita herself (a hottie!), and location on the north side of the beach. Recommend to anyone, but especially those looking to get away from a boring Marriott.

Clarita's is a simple, clean, back-to-basics hotel with friendly staff, great food, and an excellent location. This is not a five, four, or maybe even three-star hotel, but it is affordable, clean, and on the beach - what more can you ask for??

I traveled there by myself and felt safe and comfortable. The staff and locals who frequent the bar/resturant were friendly and full of suggestions and tips.

Clarita's is a great value and fun place to stay. I have already recommended it to several friends and plan on staying there again myself when I return to Costa Rica.
